First thing first, happy new year! I hope you all have had a lovely holiday season are ready for a new year and a new decade!
It´s that time of the year when we make our yearly resolutions. For me it´s always been the same one, “This is the year that I will finally be the fittest I´ve ever been!” And yes, this year is no different.
However, this year I wanted to change things up a bit!
There is no secret that my workouts and eating habits have gotten worse during the last few months or even the last year. I´ve noticed some big changes in my weight gain lately, so this is the time for me that I WILL get the fittest I´ve ever been.
And it´s not about just being “fit” anymore, it´s more about being able to be as much active I can with my daughter and to live the best and healthy life possible. I want to feel good, be healthy and yes look good.
This is how I will tone up and achieve my fitness goals in 2020:
Last fall I stopped taking dance classes to save money, and it was my dumbest & best decision I´ve made at the time.
But since money is no longer the issue, I have realized that dance classes give so much to me, it´s fun, challenging and motivating!
So I´m back in the studio again next week and could not be more excited!
My goals with the dance classes are to improve my technique and my flexibility and having the luxury of taking classes will help me get the results that I want.
Weight lifting is actually something that I love and am passionate about!
The best results have always been when mixing in some weight lifting with dance classes.
I recently downloaded the SWEAT app, which has been extremely helpful!!
They have many programs you can follow both in the gym and from home and it´s very easy to follow.
Having a program to follow each session will be beneficial especially if you’re a beginner or just want to try something new while getting results you want. Highly recommend! (You will thank me later)
I finally have found a gym that has some fun classes like hot pilates and hot yoga. I love to take different classes like spinning too. So the excitement is real about testing out a new gym this year!
I will not be doing a specific diet, instead, the focus will be more about eating whole foods, cutting the sugar, lower gluten, getting more greens in and just eat balanced. This is what I have found work best for me.
Let this journey begin!
