After an unforgettable road trip through Norway, Gothenburg, Timmendorfer Strand, and Köln, we finally arrived in the heart of Paris! The City of Lights was the perfect destination to wrap up our incredible journey, and we couldn’t wait to dive into its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Our adventure in Paris started with an evening arrival at the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero, perfectly located for exploring everything Paris has to offer. Here’s how we spent our first day in this iconic city!
Arrival in Paris: A Dreamy Start at the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero
We arrived in Paris late at night after a scenic drive from Köln. Our accommodation, the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero, was the perfect choice — not only was it stylish and comfortable, but it was also ideally located for our Parisian adventure. The hotel’s modern design and cozy ambiance were a welcome sight after a long day on the road. We settled in quickly, excited to explore the city the next morning.
Morning in Paris: The Eiffel Tower and an Unexpected Adventure
The next morning, we were eager to see one of the most iconic landmarks in the world — the Eiffel Tower! However, our path to the tower turned out to be a bit more adventurous than expected. Due to preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympics, many of the streets near the Eiffel Tower were closed off, so we found ourselves taking a much longer detour than planned. But in true Parisian spirit, we embraced the walk, taking in the sights of the charming streets and the bustling Parisian life around us.
Along the way, we stumbled upon a cozy brasserie near the Eiffel Tower and decided to stop for a drink and take a breather. The outdoor seating was perfect for people-watching, and the drinks were just what we needed to recharge. My daughter and I enjoyed a little moment of relaxation before continuing our journey to the Eiffel Tower.
