Timmendorfer Strand: The Perfect Beachside Finale to Our Epic Road Trip!
After an incredible road trip from Norway to France, filled with jaw-dropping sights and unforgettable adventures, we’re finally making our way home. But before we wrap up this amazing journey, we made one more fun stop in the super cute coastal town of Timmendorfer Strand.
We had a quick, dreamy layover in Brussels (which, by the way, I’m already planning my next trip to because that city is gorgeous), but now it’s all about relaxing and soaking in the sea breeze at Timmendorfer Strand. This place is the perfect balance of laid-back charm and seaside beauty—a true gem!
A Hotel Stay Right by the Beach—Yes, Please!
We arrived in Timmendorfer Strand in the evening and checked into this absolutely stunning hotel right by the beach. Picture this: a huge, beautiful room with a marble bathroom that made me feel like royalty, plus a sea view that took our breath away every time we looked out the window. The hotel had everything you could want: delicious breakfast (hello, fresh croissants and hot coffee!) and the best beach vibes you could ever ask for. It felt like stepping into a postcard!
Morning Beach Strolls and Coastal Charm
The next day, we set off on a super cute walk along the beach promenade. Timmendorfer Strand is just so charming! We strolled past adorable coastal-style houses with white shutters and pastel-colored exteriors, surrounded by lush gardens bursting with hydrangeas in every shade of blue and pink. I swear, it was like walking through a Pinterest board of coastal dream life.
The sea air was so refreshing, and there was something so peaceful about the whole vibe—beachy, breezy, and oh-so-relaxing. We really needed this after all the road tripping and adventure. It was the perfect spot to recharge our batteries!
Aquarium Adventures, Ice Cream, and Shopping Fun
Of course, no visit to Timmendorfer Strand is complete without another trip to the sea life. We had loved it the first time, so we couldn’t resist going back. The underwater world exhibits are so fascinating, and it’s always a hit with the kids. We spent a few hours marveling at the marine life and then rewarded ourselves with ice cream (because, honestly, what’s a beach day without it?). 🍦
After our little treat, we wandered through the cute shopping streets. Picture perfect boutiques lined the streets, and I couldn’t resist picking up a few local treasures to remember this peaceful little seaside town by. The vibe was so laid-back, and the town just had a warm, fuzzy feeling to it.
Next Stop: Copenhagen and Tivoli!
After a perfectly relaxed day in Timmendorfer Strand, we’re back on the road, heading to Copenhagen. Our next adventure? The famous Tivoli! We’ve heard so much about this magical amusement park, and I have a feeling it’s going to be the perfect way to wrap up our road trip.
